part time role
We are hiring instructors/workshop facilitators to deliver car fundamentals workshops around the UK.
Job description
Your job will be to host workshops of up to 8 participants at a time (working in pairs), teaching the basics of everyday car maintenance and how to deal with common emergencies.
You must be competent and confident to teach the following on a wide variety of vehicles:

Tyres - Checking for wear, damage, pressure. How to use tyre sealant and emergency puncture repair kits.

How to change a wheel - identifying jacking points, safely lifting the vehicle, removing the wheel etc.

Brakes - visually checking disks and pads for wear and damage

How to identify, check and top up brake/clutch fluid, coolant, screenwash and oil.

How to check and change fuses

How to change headlight bulbs and windscreen wipers

How to use jump leads - identifying jump points, using a jump pack, bump starting.
The main ethos of our business is to empower women and help them build confidence around their car. The right instructor is kind and patient and helps build a learning environment that feels supportive and safe to ask questions.
Workshops are usually on weekends, though there is occasionally opportunities for mid-week sessions. You will be expected to deliver at least 2 workshops a month. You must have your own vehicle and be willing to travel up to 1 hour.
The fun bit
Pay is £20 per hour (£160 per workshop)
Millage allowance to and from workshop locations will be paid at 55p per mile
All equipment, insurances and uniform will be provided
