Handle anything.
Women-only, hands-on workshops designed to help you understand, maintain, and repair your own car.
Welcome to The Women's Auto Academy
The Women’s Auto Academy offers women-only car maintenance workshops designed to give you the confidence and practical skills to look after your own vehicle.
Our courses are run in a friendly, supportive and welcoming environment, where there is no such thing as a stupid question and everyone learns at their own pace. Whether you’ve never opened a car bonnet before or simply want to feel more confident dealing with everyday car issues, this course is the place for you.
No Experience Required
You do not need any prior knowledge or experience to attend. Everything is explained clearly and step-by-step, so complete beginners feel comfortable and confident throughout the session.
Practical, Hands-On Learning
All of our workshops are fully practical and hands-on. Rather than just watching demonstrations, you will learn by doing.
Where possible, you’ll be working directly on your own car, meaning the skills you learn are immediately relevant and useful for your vehicle.
Building Confidence Around Cars
Our goal is simple: to give women the knowledge, confidence and independence to deal with everyday car problems without feeling intimidated or unsure.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with practical skills you can use straight away and the confidence to handle anything
About the founder
I am Louise, the founder of The Women’s Auto Academy and my goal is to help women feel confident and capable when it comes to their cars.
I have always enjoyed working on my own vehicles and I firmly believe that there’s very little that can’t be fixed at with the right knowledge and a bit of confidence. Over the years, I naturally became the person friends and family would call when they “didn’t know who else to call”.
Through these experiences, I realised how many people feel unsure, intimidated, or vulnerable when something goes wrong with their car - especially in situations like being stuck somewhere with a flat tyre.
I created The Women’s Auto Academy to change that. Our workshops are designed to give women the practical skills, knowledge and confidence to handle everyday car problems themselves, removing the stress and uncertainty that can come with car trouble.
My mission is to empower women with the skills to help themselves — without having to rely on anyone else
